Waterbury Vermont Engagement Session | Kelsey + Mike
This past October, I spent my last weekend visiting Vermont before it became HOME …..
(if you’re new around here, hello and welcome !!!, or like me, didn’t know that Vermont was a real-life fairytale land that has some of the most wonderful people living in it, I moved here from Tennessee to Burlington Vermont about two weeks ago)
… while visiting, I had the joy of shooting my very first engagement session up here. I’ve traveled all around the country for photography, but this one was unique. It was a special thing to be able to walk with Kelsey and Mike through a patch of Vermont that had become home to them, document the space, and know it would soon become mine as well.
This is photography for me, sitting, walking, documenting and continuing to learn from my clients, hear their hearts and see my heart and eyes expanded to what I didn’t know before showing up.
We chatted about their recent plant from Boston to the beautiful Green Mountain State... I learned more about this land, the best food and beer in the area, stories about their small town tucked into the mountains and my heart grew for the place as their faces lit up about this magical fairytale space they felt like they had known forever.
So excited for September with these two, take a look below at my time with them.. Oh and come visit me!
After our time, we finished up the afternoon at the amazing Prohibition Pig in Waterbury, which is a little town (home to Ben and Jerry’s) right outside of Stowe:
