Rob + Clara

Love stories are the best of all stories. Rob and Clara have a pretty dang cute one. Enjoy reading as you look through these photos.

"Rob and I have known each other since high school but last summer we started to get to know each other better, through spending time together in the same groups of people. We started dating at the end of the summer and by October we were talking about marriage.

The night of our engagement was exactly how I always imagined it. He took me to a quiet place and we spent time talking and enjoying each other’s company before he got down on one knee. I was so surprised and so excited. After our time together, we went back to my parent’s house where all of our family and friends were waiting to celebrate with us. It was a night that brought both of us so much joy and reminded us of the way God has provided so many people in our lives who love and care for us.

This summer dragged on as we were waiting and waiting for August 12th to get here. When the week of the wedding finally arrived, we both wanted time to slow down a little as all of our family and friends were in one place and we were enjoying our time with them. We had several different parties throughout the week and while everything was crazy, we both enjoyed every minute. Our rehearsal dinner was full of time reminiscing on past memories with friends and family. Many people got up and gave speeches that we will never forget. Our hearts were full after that night and we were ready to continue to celebrate on our big day.

FINALLY the day came and it really was the best day ever. Rob and I did not talk at all or see each other before the wedding ceremony. We spent the morning preparing with our wedding party and family. Both of us agree that one of our favorite parts of the day was the sweet, intentional time we had with our bridesmaids and groomsmen.

Everyone showed us so much love and we are still so thankful to all of them for being there for us. As the ceremony got closer, our nerves grew. My grandma told me right before the ceremony to look at Rob the whole time and all of my nerves would go away. I was shaking as the doors opened and all of our guests were standing there staring at me. I looked at Rob as soon as I could and I was in awe of the man I was about to marry. All I could think about walking down the aisle was how thankful I was. It is hard to remember all of the details of the ceremony after that because we were both so overwhelmed with emotion, but after the ceremony we had time with Abby to take pictures together, just the two of us, and rest in the joy of what had just happened. I have never felt so happy and peaceful. The rest of the night was filled with eating, dancing and wonderful fellowship. We cannot explain just how amazing the day was and how blown away we were with all the people who came to celebrate with us. God’s faithfulness was on display and we praise him for the gift of marriage and for allowing us to enter into such a beautiful covenant.
