Britt + Coalter

Britt, Coalter, and Puppy are some of the most creative, fun, energetic and passionate people I know (puppy is pretty much a human too). Coalter was in Memphis for the summer and had just returned so it was really an honor to take photos of their little family after a long awaited reunion.

I also love spontaneity, so it was a blast driving over to their beautiful apartment expecting a simple headshot session and returning home finishing a fun lifestyle shoot! 

I have known Britt since my freshman year of high school! She was one of my fearless small group leaders at The Falls Church Anglican youth group. Youth group was my life in high school (yes I was one of those girls). It changed my life and Britt was one of the ones who guided me through the craziness of high school.

Flash forward almost four years since Cornerstone days, here we are in Birmingham, Alabama, 500+ miles away from DC, working together to connect communities in the city through art, food, and education with Urban Avenues. It was a humbling, rewarding, and summer filled with a whole lot of artistic and personal growth working as an intern for Brittany, John and all of the sector leads and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
